Workshops for writers coming soon to the Library!

If you’re keen on writing there are several great workshops coming up at the Library.

In March, Seeds for Stories will show how the rich resources of the library can inspire your writing. Come along to this satellite Perth Writers Festival event, tour the collections, discover some interesting items and how to find material in the Battye Library, then hear authors Amanda Curtin and Mark Greenwood share how they have used the Library for their published work.

In April there will be two Write Now! writing workshops, one day long session for kids aged 9 – 12 years with authors Justin D’Ath and Meg McKinlay and illustrator Rebecca Cool , and one half day session on crime writing with Shamini Flint for adults.

Check out the website at http://www.slwa.wa.gov.au/whats_on/events for more details. Book and pay at the State Library Shop to confirm your place and learn from experienced literary professionals!
