James Sykes Battye Memorial Fellowship

Applications open Tuesday 28 April 2009 and close 5pm Friday 5 June 2009.

The James Sykes Battye Memorial Fellowship, up to the value of $20 000, has been established through the Leah Jane Cohen Library Bequest.

It aims to:

  • promote the Battye Library as a centre of original research and scholarship in Western Australia;
  • encourage use of the unique collections of the Battye Library; and
  • encourage research, publication, presentation and discussion based on them.

An information evening will be held in the Great Southern Room at the State Library on Thursday 14 May, commencing at 6.00pm.
