As part of the Electronic Resources Australia (ERA) project, the State Library of Western Australia has subscribed to the World Book Online. This resource is only available within the library. The World Book Online is an electronic version of the popular print ![]()
encyclopeadia. It provides users everything the print does, with the advantage of up to the minute information on topics and links to pictures, maps and other related resources.
World Book Online is three resources in one, with access to a kids version, a standard version and advanced version. Each is written in a style and language to suit the level and need of user. Other features of World Book Online include Today in History, Explore Australia and Educators’ tools. World Book’s Educators’ Tools page provides a range of resources including correlations from World Book content to WA’s curriculum correlations, links to lesson plans and professional education links.
The State Library is always interested in client feedback for any of our electronic resources. You can leave a comment on this post or one of the feedback forms at each of the reference desks.
