Each year on 1 May, the labour movement around the world celebrates May Day or International Workers’ Day . The event has a long history in Western Australia, and a number of marches have been captured in photographs available in the State Library’s pictorial collection. Some, including this one, are available online; there are others which have not yet been digitalised, but can be viewed on the third floor.
